Drainage and irrigation of golf courses
Drainage is one of the life-lines of a modern golf course. Well-drained soils and turf are at the very heart of a golf course wishing to ensure the finest playing conditions … and the happiest players! Optimal drainage even reduces maintenance costs!
Working regularly with consulting engineers such as John Kelly and Steve Ami, NMP is the recognized leader in supplying and installing drainage systems to golf courses in Canada and New England. Our experience and our contacts give us access to the latest drainage material technologies and the best installation techniques.
What can we do? Control storm-water drainage, install USGA-approved systems for greens, tees and bunkers, as well as slit-drainage systems for fairways and roughs, which have provided outstanding performance and efficiency results.
For existing courses NMP maintains a fleet of laser-guided, low-impact machinery to install whatever drainage components are required, as dictated by the course. From the extremely wet conditions of the Montreal Golf Club, the Beaconsfield Golf Course, the Elm Ridge Golf and Country Club, Summerlea Golf Club and approximately thirty other clubs in the Montreal area.
Some days there is just too much water, while on other days, course superintendents and their teams must scramble to turn on the watering system. Irrigation is a vital component of the «turn-key» service offered by NMP Golf with its specialized irrigation team planning and overseeing the work. Not having to resort to an outside team permits us to offer a «guaranteed» high quality service. Cost savings and installation respecting agreed-upon schedules, are but added benefits.
The Beacon Hall Golf Club (Ontario), le Maître at Tremblant and the Mont Bruno Country Club (Quebec), the Rhode Island Country Club (Rhode Island) are a few of the prestigious courses we’ve had the good fortune of working on thanks to our team.
